How to tell whether your favorite anime is a reboot or a sequel

Posted April 07, 2020 08:15:48A new video game title coming to Windows 10 in 2019, Epidemiological Study, may not be exactly a remake of a classic anime, but it’s not far from it.

As part of a presentation at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on Thursday, Microsoft revealed that the new title is a game titled Epidemiology Study, which is set to be released in 2019.

While the game is set in the years 2053 and 2054, it doesn’t actually take place during those times, which means the game will likely not have any direct influence on the anime that inspired it.

Epidemological Study will, instead, be a follow-up to the original Epidemical Study, released in 2015, which saw the story of an individual’s life affected by the pandemic.

According to Microsoft, the game’s gameplay will be similar to Epidemian Study, but “newly created environments and characters will have new personalities and perspectives.”

In short, Epidemic Study will focus on characters who have become infected with a virus called SARS-CoV-19, and the plot will focus around the player’s character, the one who survived the pandemics.

Epidemiological Survey is due out in 2019 and will cost $14.99 on Xbox One.
