A new album by the animated studio glimmerbox is set to be released on September 17, 2017, according to reports from the German publication Der Spiegel.
The band, who are members of the German duo Glimmer Box, were previously known for their work with the anime studio Studio Ghiblis.
The new album, titled Glimberbox, will feature an additional track titled “The End.”
It will be released by German label H.R. Giger, and will be available for preorder through Bandcamp and iTunes.
The label previously announced that a compilation album, Glimpe, would be released this year.
In addition to the new album and the compilation, the band has also been working on a new studio album, and they will release a limited edition of their most popular album, The Princess and the Frog, on September 27.
“Glimber Box is always a special group, and we can only thank all of our fans for their loyalty and passion for us,” the band said in a statement.
“We hope to continue to grow in the future and continue to do what we love and make music that you can enjoy.
We are truly thankful for all your support.”
The band has collaborated with many artists including Bauhaus, Franz Ferdinand, Linkin Park, and the Beach Boys.
In 2016, the duo released a collaborative album, Fools Gold, with former Pink Floyd member David Gilmour.
“The Princess and The Frog” was originally released in 1998 on the album The Pink Floyd: The Album, and featured guest appearances from the likes of The Beatles, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen.
The film is currently being released on home video.
